Lynwood House Recovery was founded in 2017 out of a personal need for Quality Sober Living. After leaving inpatient treatment, Alex experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find structured, supportive housing that truly reinforced recovery. What was available often lacked accountability, consistency, and a strong connection to the 12-Step community—key elements he knew were essential for long-term sobriety.
Recognizing that gap, Alex set out to create the kind of environment he wished he had: a structured, recovery-focused home built on routine, responsibility, and peer support. What began as a single house quickly proved to meet a growing need within the recovery community.
Over the past eight years, Lynwood House Recovery has expanded from one home to six across Jackson and Hattiesburg, Mississippi—each designed to provide stability, accountability, and a clear path forward for men committed to recovery.
Today, Alex continues to lead operations alongside longtime friend and trusted partner Johnny Joorfetz. In addition, many Lynwood alumni remain closely connected to the program, staying involved, supporting current residents, and helping carry forward the culture of accountability and 12-Step recovery that defines Lynwood.
Together, they remain committed to maintaining high standards and creating environments where men can rebuild their lives, stay connected to recovery, and develop the structure needed for lasting sobriety.
